In the summer of 2006, Susan and Rod Stewart introduced Main Street Pet Resort & Day Spa, convinced pet owners care about high quality, pet-centered boarding and grooming. On August 2, 2006, a little guy named Huck walked through the front door and become Customer Number One. He was followed by Bingo, one week later, and then by Sammy and Tucker. By the end of August, the pet resort on Main Street was on its way to becoming a popular resort with area pets and their owners.
Main Street Pet Resort acquires a school bus and begins offering its military friends living on post at Fort Leavenworth "school bus" services for their pets. We support our troops!
The Missouri German Shepherd Rescue named Main Street the 2012 Kennel of the Year for "outstanding love, dedication, and hard work for the dogs of MoGS." Main Street continues its tradition of providing a safe harbor for German Shepherds in transition.
An 8-week old Golden Retriever named Boone discovers the joy of doggy day care at Main Street! And his mother, Susie, comes home to fewer chewed up shoes and newspapers thereafter!
Susan and Rod enter the happy state of retirement and Susie and Boone acquire the pet resort, determined to maintain the quality of care for which it is known.
